VFL Bochum still has to wait for its first win of the season. Kevin Stöger scores a 1-1 draw against Eintracht Frankfurt with a penalty.
VFL Bochum and Eintracht Frankfurt are the previous draw kings in the Bundesliga. In the 1-1 draw on Saturday, both teams recorded a point for the third time in a row.
After Eric Dina Ebimbe’s opening goal (55th), the guests seemed close to their second win of the season. But the Bochum team managed to get their deserved equalizer through Kevin Stöger in an open game at eye level. This means that Eintracht remains undefeated under the direction of coach Dino Toppmöller.
Eintracht’s Dino Toppmöller, ex-VFL professional and son of former VFL and Eintracht coach Klaus Toppmöller, made two changes after the 1-1 draw against Cologne: Niels Nkounkou and Jessic Ngankam played for Omar Marmoush and Philipp Max.
VfL coach Thomas Letsch used the same starting eleven as in the 2-2 draw in Augsburg. There were two changes in the squad: Philipp Förster and new signing Goncalo Paciencia replaced Moritz Broschinski and Noah Loosli.
