Patrick Graichen has to leave his post as Secretary of State for Energy in the Ministry of Economic Affairs.
Stephan Brandner, deputy federal spokesman for the Alternative for Germany, states:
“The fact that Graichen is leaving his place is due to pressure from the AfD. Without our commitment, the machinations surrounding the state secretary in the ministry would have gone on forever, only after our parliamentary action did the other parties and the media become active. Our request for the establishment of a committee of inquiry is nevertheless as relevant as before: after all, we only know the tip of the iceberg so far.
The entanglements and the fuss surrounding the traffic light government cannot be reduced to just Graichen as a person. Rather, Habeck saws off his confidant to save his own head and many other heads of the Green Clan.
As the AfD, we stand for the complete clarification of the scandal and, above all, for a speedy replacement of the traffic light coalition.”
